Extra DVD to All MP4 Ripper is a single-format DVD ripper. It can rip DVD movies into MP4 files. There are over 10 profiles with conversion settings. The resolution of the output files won't be higher than 640x480, because that is often the resolution of DVD movies. The application can use the H.264 codec to process the files.
This ripper does things a bit differently than I am used to. When you open the DVD, it starts playing it, and asks you what part of it you want to record. I chose the start of the current title, and since it was an episode DVD, the first episode started recording with the default conversion profile. The application even took the liberty of selecting a subtitle stream and hardcoding it into the video. You can obviously select what language and subtitle stream you want to use. As I told you before, this only converts to MP4, but there are quite a few formats listed on the left part of the app, which serve as advertising for another product by the same developer. Also, at the bottom is a playback bar, which is identical to the one in Windows Media Player, and which also serves no apparent purpose.
In my testing, the ripped videos were of good quality. The ripper wasn't fast per se, but maybe if you had the option of disabling the real-time preview, it would be faster. I personally prefer to select the DVD titles that I want to rip from a list of all available titles. This application doesn't work like that, but you might not have a problem with the way it does things.
